Counting sticks are thin wooden or plastic sticks used as educational toys. They are common in kindergarten or nursery schools. The sticks come in colorful packs. Each pack has around one thousand pieces. The sticks are packed in zip lock bags so that they can be stored without fear of being lost. Each stick is colored in bright non toxic paint. The sticks are used to teach children the concept of counting, sorting, measuring, addition and subtraction.
For kindergarten and primary students, the sticks are counted, grouped and sorted according to color. The sticks are grouped into tens and ones for counting up to hundred. |
