Non Woven Textile

In the recent times non-woven materials are primarily produced from man-made fibers. Two synthetic polymers dominate the market: polypropylene (PP) and polyesters (mainly PET). Nonwoven textiles are usually used as either durable or disposable. For example, nonwovens used as house wraps to prevent water infiltration are durable nonwovens. Nonwovens used as facings on baby diapers are disposable or single-use non woven. Non woven textiles are usually cheaper to manufacture

In China, textile is often closely associated with prosperity and involved in the process of elaborate rituals. Parents’ spontaneous love for their children is most visibly reflected through the excellent clothes they provide on festive occasions to their children. These clothes are made up of expensive materials and excellent craftsmanship.
Non-woven materials are used in numerous applications, including:

Types of non woven fabric

Non woven fabrics primarily fall into the following categories.

  • Staple non woven: These are manufactured in a two step process
  • Spun laid non woven: These are manufactured in a single continuous process
  • Others: Non woven textiles can also originate with films and fibrillate. Again two types of fiberglass non woven textiles are usually available.Glass tissue or wet laid mat which use wet chopped and heavy denier fibers Batts or flame attenuated mats which use discontinuous and fine denier fiber

Staple and spun laid non woven does not possess any mechanical resistance without the procedure of bonding. There are various methods used for bonding and the followings are some of the primary methods of bonding
