Wood is one of the easiest available raw materials. Since ancient times, it has been used to make various functional and decorative items. Primitive wood craft perhaps begins with the houses and boats and rafts that men and women made, using wooden logs and wood planks. Weapons used for defence and to hunt are also examples of primitive wood craft.
