Dilli Haat Food and Craft Bazaar is
a joint project of Delhi Tourism and
Transportation Development Corporation.
The concept is developed to promote
the needy artisans and craftsmen all
over the country by exhibiting their
crafts. The idea is to do away with
the middlemen, which exploit these craftsmen.
There are as many as 62 stalls at the
haat, which are allotted on rotational
basis to the craftsmen of different
states. The haat is also a venue, which
presents authentic regional cuisines
of the Sates of India. Besides this,
cultural activities like dances, dramas,
fashion shows are also organized in
the haat. |
