muslin, kantha and leather and stone
work.

folk toys, chikan embroidery, cane
and bamboo furniture and jute articles
while Howarah is known for doll making,
images of gods and goddesses, and
decorative fans.
Orissa
The sandstone or soapstone work employing
traditional technique is notable in
Orissa. While the Appliqué
work, sholapith craft, patachitras,
and papier mache items are other significant
craft items.
