Ceramic is a kind of inorganic non-metallic material which is formed due to heat. Till the 1950's traditional clays, pottery, bricks and tiles were the most important ceramics. Ceramic materials are porous, brittle and hard. Ceramics are used to make wind chimes which produce tinkling sounds.
