Pottery bowl is a vessel that has been shaped out of clay. The term 'Pottery' is used to mean the potter's art of creating different things on a potter's wheel. Pottery has existed since times immemorial. Pottery bowls, usually, are hand-made pieces. Clay can be easily formed into different shapes and made waterproof by heating it to higher temperatures. The clay is, at first, thrown on the potter's wheel and then a shape is created out of it. Next, the bowls are sun dried and designs or motifs are engraved on them. Finally, they are glazed with a non-toxic paint and heated at high temperatures in a kiln. Pottery bowls come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
