Bhopal Haat

 

Bhopal Haat is another unique initiative to rejuvenate and uplift the state’s handicraft and handloom sector in the overseas market. The massive success of Dilli Haat has inspired Bhopal’s handicraft department to showcase their indigenous products and the state is making its greatest endeavors to make it an international success.

Bhopal Haat is being held at the Bhopal Haat premises from April 4 to April 27. The Rural Development Department of the State Government is organizing the craft fair. The vibrant repertoire of crafts that Madhya Pradesh cherishes is being exposed in all its artistry and beauty in the month long event. The vibrant display of crafts include colorful terracotta products, rugs, dolls, clothing, silver jewelry, leather products, furniture, marble decoratives, carpets, wood carvings and lot more.
Exotic cotton and silk saris and draperies weave a tapestry of colors and designs enticing the shoppers with their rich handworks. Crafts from other states like Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Orissa, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh are also being showcased in the fair.

Those associated to craft industry from the general purchasers and craft manufacturers to retailers, wholesalers and exporters are getting the unique opportunity to interact and strengthen contacts directly with the craftsmen, knitters and weavers. This will enhance the promotion of Indian arts and handicrafts and gear up sales for the same. The haat is sure to benefit the impoverished craftsmen with rich dividends.
